We got an exclusive look at how Munk Store is preparing for one of the busiest times of the retail calendar. With a team passionate about both style and service, they’re ready to impress — both online and in-store.
Founded in 2003 in Holstebro, Munk Store has grown into a standout fashion retailer with more than 20 employees and a loyal following. In 2008, they opened a second store in Thisted, and by 2011, they launched their webshop — which is still run by the same dedicated team behind the physical stores. This seamless integration has been key to their success. Owner Lars Munkholm places strong emphasis on social connection, and the spirit of the team shines through across their digital platforms.
We spoke with E-commerce Manager Mathias Thulstrup to learn more about how Munk Store is approaching Black Week this year.
Munk Store Is Going All-In on Black Week!
Mathias explains that the team has planned their inventory specifically for Black Week to meet the expected surge in demand. From Monday to Thursday, they’ll offer rotating 24-hour flash deals — a format that worked extremely well last year by encouraging fast decisions and spontaneous shopping.
"Of course, we’ll also be running a traditional Black Friday with a wide selection of products on sale," Mathias Thulstrup, Munk Store.
New Collaborations Drive Black Week Forward

The Munk Store Team Is Ready for the Rush
While no extra staff has been brought in, Munk Store is relying on its strong internal team and has restructured day-to-day responsibilities to handle the pressure. During Black Week, every team member will be involved in either customer service or packing orders.
