Dankort as a payment method

Are you considering getting Dankort as a payment method on your web shop? You can get more information about Dankort on this page – and whether this is the right solution for your web shop.

What is Dankort?

The Dankort is Denmark’s national payment card and can not be used as an international card. The Dankort is therefore only relevant if you venture into the Danish market.

 How does the Dankort work?

The Dankort can be used both in shops, apps and online at your web shop if you only want to be in the Danish market. Handling Dankort requires an agreement with Nets.

With a pensopay agreement, you can receive Visa/Dankort, but if you want to be able to handle the pure Dankort on your web shop, click here. Please contact us at support@pensopay.com if you have any questions or are still in doubt as to whether Dankort is the right payment method to offer your customers on your web shop.

Benefits of using a Dankort

The Dankort is linked to the user's Danish bank account, with funds withdrawn directly from there. Unlike credit cards like Visa and Mastercard, which can be used for purchases both domestically and internationally, the Dankort is only used in Denmark.
