Since we are a payment company, we felt the term made perfect sense. 'I pay' is exactly what we enable our customers to do. Of course, we offer much more, but the core essence of our business is that we are a payment company.
Our slogan, 'Think Beyond Payments,' means that as a user of our payment solution, you should be able to focus on every other aspect of your business except your payment solution. Our main task is to ensure that payments work seamlessly for your webshop. After all, we believe e-merchants shouldn't waste unnecessary time on payment processes.
At pensopay, we are ambitious and set a high standard for user satisfaction, which is reflected in our reviews on social media and Trustpilot.
Today, we are one of Denmark's leading providers of online payment solutions, and our next milestone is achieving a 20% market share among Danish webshops.
Since we started, we've changed the way we spell our name. Initially, we were PensoPay with capital P’s. It felt a bit old-fashioned—and for some reason, slightly pretentious. So, we switched to lowercase letters to bring us down to earth. However, that hasn’t made things easier. For instance, LinkedIn still hasn’t managed to fully update our name, and autocorrect insists on using a capital P for Penso. But we’re staying true to our mission of spreading the word about pensopay (written in lowercase, bold, and italic).
We don’t know what’s behind all the creative takes on our name, but we love our customers’ imagination—or their struggle with autocorrect.
