As a payment partner, we at pensopay see Danish webshops expand beyond national borders every day. But success and more stores often come with a heavy administrative burden: maintaining product data across multiple domains.

If you manage more than one Shopify store, you know how time-consuming it is to update prices, inventory and product descriptions manually. Automating your back office, just like your payment solution, is essential for a professional customer experience and a healthy business. The tool Edition - Expansion Store Sync was built for exactly this purpose.
How do you reduce the workload of running multiple Shopify stores?
You define one “Master Store” that automatically syncs data to your other “Child Stores.” This keeps products and variants up to date across your portfolio, so you never have to make the same changes more than once.
When you connect your stores with Edition, you get full control over the flow:
- Individual settings: Each connected store can be configured with its own rules, giving you full customization and control.
- Fast scaling: You can copy settings from existing stores to new ones, which lets you launch in new markets in record time.
- Sync methods: Choose to match your products by either SKU or barcode to ensure 100% data consistency.

How are prices and currency formulas handled?
Automatically, through smart pricing rules calculated from your different base prices. The system supports automatic rounding rules and “suffix” functions, which makes it ideal for handling international currencies or specific margins for your resellers.
This is especially relevant for our customers who sell internationally. For example, you can have the system take your Danish price, convert it automatically to EUR or USD, multiply it by a factor and round to the nearest 5. You can even use a built-in test tool to preview the outcome of your rules before they take effect.
How do you make sure each market has the right product range?
By using targeted filtering based on your existing product data. You can create specific rules that prevent certain products from syncing to selected stores, based on:
- Product type: For example, don’t send “Digital Products” to your physical store.
- Vendor: Choose to sync only products from specific brands (e.g. “Brand A”).
- Tags: Filter out products tagged with, for example, “Exclusive.”
- Title: Avoid syncing test products or specific item names.
This gives you the freedom to tailor each store to its local market.
How does inventory management work across locations?
You connect locations in your Master Store directly to the relevant locations in your Child Stores. When stock levels change in one store, all connected stores are updated automatically.
This ensures you never sell an item that’s out of stock in your main warehouse. You can link individual locations manually or exclude specific warehouses from syncing entirely.
A connected infrastructure is the key to growth
