4 Years of Anyday's Buy-Now-Pay-Later Model – Is It Still Working?

Post by Nanna

In 2021, we welcomed Anyday to pensopay as a new payment option. At the time, we were excited about the fresh BNPL concept (Buy Now, Pay Later), and the early results were promising. Now – nearly four years later – it’s time to check in.

Has Anyday lived up to expectations? How has the product evolved? And most importantly: Is it still delivering value to Danish webshops?
You can read our original post here: Say hello to Anyday.

Anyday in Numbers – 2025

Since its launch, Anyday has seen impressive growth:

  • 200,000+ Danes have signed up for an Anyday account
  • 3,000+ Danish webshops offer Anyday as a payment option
  • Average order value via Anyday: DKK 1,471 – still among the highest AOVs at pensopay

At pensopay, the average Visa/Mastercard transaction is around €81. Anyday orders come in significantly higher. With an average of DKK 1,471 per order, it’s clear that customers are willing to spend more – and that they trust the option to pay in installments.

A New Way to Pay: From Monthly Plans to Installments

One major update to the Anyday offering is how payments are communicated. Instead of monthly plans, the focus is now on clear installment options. Customers still pay in four parts, but the message is sharper and the setup more flexible.

Today, Anyday offers:

  • 4 interest-free installments – with no fees
  • 6, 8 or 10 installments – with a small, one-time customer-paid fee

This flexibility allows webshop owners to convert more customers – at no extra cost. It’s still completely free for merchants to get started, with fast onboarding and no long-term commitments.

Why Does It Work?

Anyday combines a seamless checkout experience with transparency and ease of use. For customers, it’s about flexibility. For webshops, it’s about higher basket sizes and improved conversion rates.

And it works. Our data shows that webshops using Anyday typically see:

  • Higher average order values
  • Improved conversion rates
  • More returning customers

The Future of BNPL?

The BNPL landscape has evolved rapidly, and Anyday remains one of the most visible players in Denmark. That’s not just thanks to the product itself – it’s also about excellent customer service and continuous innovation.

With over 200,000 users and more than 3,000 merchant partners, Anyday has shown that their solution isn’t just a passing trend – it’s becoming a new standard in payments.

Prepare Your Webshop for the Future of Payments
