Klædeskabet.dk was founded in 2018, shortly after Mikkel completed his HHX studies. In the early days, he wore most of the hats himself, but over time he has built a strong team that now runs the business alongside him.
From Recent Graduate to E-commerce Entrepreneur
Klædeskabet.dk is an online fashion store mainly targeting women. After finishing his HHX (Higher Commercial Examination Programme) in 2018, Mikkel shared his dream of launching a webshop with his uncle at a family gathering. The following Monday, the idea started becoming reality.
Today, Mikkel is 25 and runs Klædeskabet.dk together with SoMe Manager Katrine Andersen and the rest of their team. While Mikkel focuses on paid advertising and the technical side of the webshop, Katrine manages live shopping, all social media channels—and even takes care of buying the products for the store.

"I never felt like the typical 9-to-5 job was for me. Back in school, my teacher once asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said ‘entrepreneur,’ and she told me that’s not really something you can just become. That only made me more determined. I started reading every book I could get my hands on about entrepreneurship," Mikkel Dam Jespersen, Klædeskabet.dk.
For Mikkel, the motivation has always been the responsibility and passion that come with running your own business.
In the early days, he did everything himself—from customer service to packing orders at night. His dream back then? Simply to have one extra person to help. Fast forward to today, Klædeskabet.dk has a full team and a workplace culture they’re proud of.
