Interview: PanzerGlass.
We spoke with Erik Stengaard-Pedersen, VP at PanzerGlass, about their dedication to quality, their sustainable efforts, and how pensopay helped create a frictionless payment experience. Read on to explore their remarkable journey.
From day one, PanzerGlass has been committed to quality. When founder Jimmy Olsen first introduced the product at trade fairs, he was one of the few who had anything similar to show. The response was immediate—orders started coming in, confirming the high demand.
Today, more than eight years later, PanzerGlass has not only expanded its product range but also continuously improved quality. Among its innovations is a privacy screen that prevents others from viewing your display from the side. PanzerGlass also supplies touch screen protection to premium car brands, including sports car manufacturers and BMW, delivering high-end solutions for high-end partners.
Ask Erik, and he’ll tell you: PanzerGlass is like an airbag for your screen. It’s made up of multiple protective layers that absorb shock and increase durability. The top layer even includes antibacterial properties that eliminate 99% of surface bacteria.
Like many companies, PanzerGlass is making conscious efforts to go greener—without going overboard. Sustainability is part of their broader strategy, and they’ve made real progress, especially with their packaging. All packaging materials are now paper-based whenever possible, and the design has been optimized to minimize waste.
They’ve also reduced water usage in production and made the manufacturing process more efficient. Today, the glass is cut more precisely to reduce resource waste across the board.
Before partnering with pensopay, PanzerGlass used another payment solution that simply didn’t meet their standards—too many technical issues, too little reliability. That led them to ask around within their network to identify better options. pensopay came up repeatedly, so they reached out.
When we asked Erik whether he was happy with the decision, his answer was clear: “Absolutely!”
He also highlighted the quality of communication—both written and over the phone—as a major strength. He described our solution as:
We have to say—we’re proud to hear it.
Erik believes there are a few essential questions every business should ask when choosing a payment solution:
He also encourages entrepreneurs to leverage their networks—both to evaluate payment providers and to scale more effectively. One more piece of advice: use proven solutions that already exist rather than trying to build something from scratch.
If, like us, you’re inspired by PanzerGlass, you’ll want to keep an eye on what’s next. The company is planning to expand into new markets and develop new products. We’re excited to follow their continued growth.
A big thank-you to Erik for the great conversation. We’re proud to call you and PanzerGlass our partners.
Best of luck on the road ahead!
