Interview: Munk Store.
Munk Store, a fashion retailer from Jutland with over 20 employees, has achieved great success by combining innovation with carefully selected brands. Owner Lars Munkholm places a strong emphasis on the social aspect, which is reflected in the team’s dynamic, as seen on their social media. Munk Store opened its first store in Holstebro in 2003 and expanded with another store in Thisted in 2008. In 2011, they launched their webshop, operated by the same dedicated team, creating an impressive integration between their physical stores and online presence. This time, we spoke with Mathias Thulstrup, E-commerce Manager, who gave us insight into their inspiring journey.
Mathias also explains that they have intentionally stocked up for Black Week to ensure they have enough volume to meet the high demand. From Monday to Thursday, they offer different daily deals, each active for just 24 hours, which prompts quick customer responses. This strategy proved to be highly effective last year.
"Of course, we’ll also have Black Friday as usual, where a mix of products will be discounted," Mathias Thulstrup, Munk Store.

Munk Store hasn’t called in extra staff, but with a strong team already in place, they have restructured daily tasks. During Black Week, all employees will either be in customer service or the packing area.
