MamaMilla blends passion with quality. Learn how their partnership with penso*pay* works.     It was the baby nest – a small, portable baby bed – that kicked off [MamaMilla's](https://mamamilla.dk/) journey. Since then, the family has grown to include three children and a team of skilled employees. In fact, [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/) is often affectionately referred to as the family’s fourth and perhaps most expensive child – at least for now. We had the pleasure of visiting Kamilla Vinding and Bruno Poulsen in their showroom, where we talked about life as entrepreneurs and got to see their lovely selection of baby clothes and toys. She came up with the idea for the company and is responsible for product development, purchasing, and all marketing. Bruno, on the other hand, handles the technical side and manages the IT operations. For a couple who had just stepped out of the maternity bubble with their third child, they were surprisingly calm during our visit. This speaks to their impressive composure. After a tour of the showroom and warehouse, Kamilla and Bruno settled into their light green sofa and passionately shared their journey with [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/). Being entrepreneurs while raising children is possible – Kamilla and Bruno certainly make it look effortlessly easy. ### Kamilla’s Maternity Project Became the Start of a Successful Business [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/) was born during Kamilla’s first maternity leave. She sewed her own baby nest, which quickly sparked interest among friends and family. More and more people started asking about the product, and soon there were customers eager to buy one. Bruno, educated at Copenhagen Business School, was initially cautious about fully committing to the project. He knew what it takes to start and run a business. But after seeing Kamilla’s persistence and growing success, he decided to join the company in 2017. Together, they made [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/) their livelihood. The website was launched in 2015 – just two months before the couple’s second son was born. “Yes, it was a busy period,” they both laugh, exchanging smiles. Today, [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/) employs four full-time staff as well as several freelance designers and web developers. ### Excellent Customer Service and Quality Go Hand in Hand According to Kamilla and Bruno, it’s all about a combination of great customer service and quality products. It’s hard to separate the two, they say. Customer service is one of their core values. A good example is their approach to returns: “If we experience repeated complaints about a product, we remove it from the collection. We only send out high-quality products that don’t break,” Kamilla Vinding, [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/).  As parents of three children, they know how frustrating it can be to receive a defective product: "If you’re already under pressure and then get a product that breaks shortly after purchase, you quickly lose trust in the webshop or the product," Kamilla Vinding, [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/).  ### Wide Range at MamaMilla Featuring Both Private Label and Popular Brands [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/) develops its own private label products and also sells items from other well-known brands. "We have our products manufactured in India and have visited the production sites to ensure conditions are good and that GOTS certifications are upheld," Bruno Poulsen, [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/).  This way, [MamaMilla](https://mamamilla.dk/) can offer a broad selection to their customers – both their own products and popular brands that people already know. ### An Entrepreneurial Dream of Balancing Work, Growth, and Joy in Life “We really like that MamaMilla is as family-oriented as it is now – it’s like our second family. Our dream is not to get much bigger than we are now. Our dream has always been to make a living from it and earn a regular salary, while still enjoying going to work.
